In the municipal park, about ½ mile from the well, stands Wotan’s horse Sleipnir, the fast runner. The name Sleipnir means as much as »the one who is floating«, because this, by the Germanic peoples deified horse galloped fleet-footed over clouds, water and land of the Germanic world. Wotan was riding it during the »Twilight of the Gods«, the final battle of the gods against the giants and other monsters.

The Well of Wisdom and Sleipnir are the first figures on the developing "Trail of Myths" which finally will host 12 figures of famous local artists.

At the well you will also see the two ravens Hugin und Munin, which on behalf of Wotan reconnoitre the world affairs during their daily flights. The 4 wind dwarfs point to the four directions.
